Kaddex AMA Recap
On November 12th, 2021, the K.P.N. had an AMA/community interview with the Kaddex team members, Frogman and Mandrake, in our Telegram group. For those who couldn’t make it, we have gathered up all the key points from the AMA to make sure YOU know what’s going on with Kadena DeFi and your investment.
Overview
Kaddex solves the DEX trilemma by eliminating the need for centralized APIs (such as Infura for Ethereum) for an average user to trade on their DEX, also while building on Kadena, the only Proof of Work blockchain built to scale infinitely, along with using Gas Stations for actual free gas, which is exclusive to Kadena. They also plan to be the settlement system as a multi-protocol DEX.
Team Background
KDX Frogman/Grant Gerber — Head of Community and Research for Kaddex, has experience in DAOs and across all of DeFi and democratic governance systems.
KDX Mandrake/Daniele De Vecchis — CFO of Kaddex, Masters Degree in Business Administration and another in Finance, lots of knowledge in DEXs and liquidity mining, along with traditional finance and asset management.
Key Points
- Kaddex aims to be the main settlement DEX for Kadena, such as Uniswap for Ethereum or Pancakeswap for Binance Smart Chain
- $KDX (Kaddex token) holders will be able to stake their $KDX and earn 0.05% of all trades (divided proportionally to $KDX staking amount)
- Kaddex has a live open beta here and already have $2M TVL (total value locked) in the single KDA-FLUX pair alone
- Planning to offer lending/borrowing (not at launch)
- Liquidity pools across multiple blockchains
- Working with Zelcore to get $KDX token on the wallet
- DAO governance that is not entirely based off of stake/capital, but also on contribution to ensure positive results for all
- Kaddex will function on all 20 chains of Chainweb, and if the Kadena Foundation DAO approves of the 50 chain upgrade possible next year it will also function on the new chains
- Liquidity from live beta will rollover to full launch without issue
